The Citylight Family mission is to multiply disciples and churches. We couldn’t be more excited to partner with and support the next plant in Greeley, Colorado. Salt Church Greeley is gearing up to start meeting as a core team in August. Jon Randall, Citylight Omaha Salt Co Director, and Keith Brauneis, Citylight FOCO Planting Resident, are co-pastoring with an already strong staff team and growing core team.
“It is amazing to see from a distance how Jesus is fulfilling His promise of building His Church before we are even in Greeley!” Jon shared. “In May 2022, we had a vision weekend to gauge interest in a church plant in the Greeley area and over 50 people attended. The month before that, Citylight Fort Collins (a partnering church) baptized 3 people and they all happen to be from Greeley!”
Why Greeley? It is the fastest growing city in Colorado and it is home to college students, young families, a large hispanic population, and refugees from places like Somalia and Burma. Salt Church dreams of a church that brings the Gospel to these different demographics and is a snapshot of Christ’s command to make disciples of all nations.
One way to impact the community of Greeley is bringing the Gospel to the University of Northern Colorado. Salt Church doesn’t just want to make disciples of college students during their four years in college, but also wants to make disciples of college students who invest in the local church for the next forty years and beyond. The Salt Church Greeley college group, The Salt Company, will be ready, willing, and available on the campus and throughout the week. It takes college students to reach college students though. If you are a college student in Greeley, recently graduated or have a passion for college students/know somebody who is, Salt Co. Greeley wants to meet you!
