Citylight Omaha announced in 2024 a new church plant in Sarpy County, Nebraska. Ryan Meyer and Trevor Nashleanas have stepped into the co lead pastor role for the new church plant. Recently, the Sarpy County plant has announced their name as Harbor Church Sarpy County. The name harbor is a sheltered body of water where ships can find safety from the turbulent waters of the open seas. It’s also a place where sailors can rest from their travels and renew their strength before being sent back out with goods to export all over the world. Harbor Church’s name reflects their desire to be a place of safety and sending, where people from Sarpy County’s surrounding communities find refuge from the storms of life as they are renewed by the gospel and sent back into their neighborhoods and networks to show and share the good news of Jesus, capturing their heart to become a hub of church planting for the entire county.
With Sarpy County being the fastest growing county in the state of Nebraska with nearly 3,000 people moving to the region every year, population growth is outpacing church multiplication. Harbor Church wants to change that.
We are so excited to see what God will do in and through Harbor Church this year and beyond. Family, will you please pray for Ryan and Trevor, for the Harbor Church family, and will you consider connecting, supporting, and planting with our new Family members? Let’s reach the people in Sarpy County with the gospel of Jesus Christ and be what Matthew 5:14 says…
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden”
