Are you being called to pastor a church?
If so, the Citylight Family of Churches wants to help! A new development program to encourage and equip you in your journey has been created with you in mind. This Development Program can be included in a 1-2 year residency track for those men who:
- Want to pastor and/or plant a Citylight Family church.
- Have served in vocational ministry.
- Have a bachelor’s degree and a desire to complete a master’s in seminary.
The details
The cohort launches October 2026 and spans over nine months. Cohorts begin at 5 pm and end the next day at 2 pm. Attendance at all cohort meetings is a requirement. Each meeting will consist of a presentation by a facilitator, homework review, hands on project, prayer/accountability, and community building. Upon acceptance, a syllabus for each class will be sent to participants.
2026/2027 Cohort Dates:
October 20-21 – at Citylight Omaha
December 9-10 – at Citylight Lincoln
February 10-11 – at Citylight Omaha
April 7-8 – at Citylight Lincoln
June 9-10 – at Citylight Mosaic, Omaha

Be a part of a community of men who share the same desire as you. Learn valuable tools, wisdom and practical resources led by seasoned pastors from the Citylight Family. Topics such as budgets and finances; leading your wife and family; crisis management; emotionally healthy leadership; setting boundaries and more will be covered. The cost of the cohort is covered by the network including books, most travel expenses, meals and activities during the cohort.
