We are a Family of Churches who believe that God’s primary means of advancing the gospel is through the local church and, therefore, we are committed to multiplying disciples, churches and church planting movements within major Midwest cities and beyond.
We also believe the Gospel has made us brothers and sisters in Christ. Our desire then is to be more than strategic ministry partners but a relational and connected family. And we have amazing family in Iowa!
The Citylight IOWA Family is made up of three churches … Citylight Council Bluffs, Citylight Southwest Iowa and Citylight West CB. They recently gathered and celebrated Jesus and the light he has brought in and through their three churches. They also celebrated a birthday! Ten years ago a group of people who loved Jesus and had the desire to take the good news to CB planted. That simple act of trusting Jesus has led to a plentiful harvest the past 10 years that has included:
- 3 church plants and counting
- 800 people hearing the gospel on any given Sunday
- 350+ baptisms
- 5 lead pastors (Doug, Erick, Matt, Tyler, Kinnon) and 25+ staff and elders
